This series, whether viewed individually or collectively, depict moments, or crystallized states, of social conditions during a time when capitalism, globalism, and urbanism are at a max point of elasticy : The point before failure.
These images depict the violence of power struggles defined by a competitive economic model -
GLOBAL : Each form shares a profile to its neighbor, suggesting an interrconnected, continuous system.
LOCAL : Within each moment of this system, the indivdual is seen at the will of not only that system in its entirety, but also the adjacent figures.
qOHstudio uses 2d and 3d mediums to enact systems of tension in order to consider contemporary social conditions. Using themes such as distortion, power, amplitude, displacement, and capitalism, both the individual and the collective are portrayed in direct relationship to one another. The goal of the studio is to be defined by film, architecture, drawing, object design, performance, and photography in order to create a reliquary for the present.
